Chinese Dance

Introduction

The Chinese Dance is one of the performing arts group in St. Margaret’s School (Primary). The Chinese Dance Club started back in 1985 and it has been 35 years since its inauguration. Our instructors are Miss Wang Xiao Ming and Miss Zhang Xiao Qi.

Students who have chosen to join Chinese Dance out of their love for dancing are also learning more about the Chinese Dance culture. We want to nurture their God-given talent through dance training so that they can each reach their fullest potential in this area. 

In Chinese Dance, members train and perform as a group thus they learn to bond with one another through dance. Members also learn to execute movements and exhibit good showmanship on stage.

Preparation for SYF 2022

Objectives

• To nurture the pupil’s aesthetic talents, each to their fullest potential.

• To instill discipline, build confidence in our young dancers, hence fostering in pupils a lifelong appreciation for dance. 

• To nurture girls of the character anchored on the values of Life-long learner, Integrity, Graciousness, Humility and Tenacity (LIGHT).
