Introduction

Brownies are 9- to 12-year-old girls who enjoy learning, exploring, and having adventures together. They acquire new life skills, work both independently and in teams, and participate in joint learning adventures with other Brownie or Girl Guide units. Through these activities, Brownies develop leadership, service, and innovation skills. They learn to care for each other, forming lasting friendships and a support network that will accompany them throughout life.

5-Point Programme

Brownies are guided by a comprehensive 5-Point Programme, which develops them in 5 areas:

Personal & Social Development – Healthy Me, Courteous Me, Cultured Me
Home – Home Duties & Home Safety
Outdoor – Discovering Nature, A Green World
Community – My Country, My Neighbourhood, Helper
International – My Globe, My Guiding World & My Guiding Friend
Brownies enjoy working for interest badges and awards that will help them develop new skills.

Children play outdoor games on a sports field with cones, while indoors another group in yellow uniforms holds hands in a circle for team bonding.

Highlights for 2024

Children in white shirts and green shorts prepare posters for a cookie sale, while others distribute boxes of cookies indoors.

Children in brown uniforms collect litter outdoors with trash bags and tongs during a neighborhood cleanup activity.

Children in yellow and brown uniforms smile indoors, while another group enjoys a meal together at a red table during a holiday activity.
