Join the SMS(P) Brass Band and learn music performance, breathing techniques, and peer mentoring. Students from P3 to P6 meet on Mondays and Wednesdays to grow together through music.

Overview

The SMS(P) Brass Band provides students with opportunities to develop musicianship, discipline, teamwork and confidence through music-making. Members learn a variety of percussion instruments while building resilience, responsibility and collaboration through regular rehearsals and performances.

In 2025, the ensemble performed at the school’s National Day Concert, presenting a lively repertoire that celebrated Singapore’s multicultural heritage and brought the school community together through music.

In 2026, the band participated in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation and was awarded a Certificate of Accomplishment, recognising the students’ dedication, musical growth and teamwork after months of committed preparation.

Through these enriching experiences, members develop a passion for music while embodying the school values of Charity, Patience and Devotion, growing into confident performers and gracious team players.
